Description:

Specific Duties Include:

 

  • Plans, designs and delivers programmes of activities, in consultation with Service Users, their relatives and the Care Team, that meet the specific needs and requirements of Service Users.

 

  • Engages Service Users in activities such as conversations, letter writing, reading aloud, games, or those associated with hobbies and interests.

 

  • Organises group activities, such as art classes, film shows, handicraft groups, quizzes, board games, bingo, entertainment and group outings.

 

  • Carries out risk assessments of all planned activities.

 

  • Assists with fundraising activities and events to finance entertainment and outings.

 

  • Supports religious practices of Service Users by arranging visits or outings as appropriate.

 

  • Maintains a suitable library of books and tapes.

 

  • Maintains an inventory of equipment and resources

 

  • Records, monitors and maintains activities budget

 

 

These duties are not exhaustive.  Job holders may be asked to undertake other responsibilities, within their spheres of responsibility and competence.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

 

  • If you are willing to work towards gaining your NVQ or equivalent or you have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
Experience of undertaking various crafts / activities

Salary/Hourly rate:
£5.87 per hour (with Level 2)
