How to find us

Aire House is set in a quiet residential community, located on the north side of Harrogate within walking distance from the famous Valley Gardens, Royal Baths and Spa Pump Rooms. The Home provides residential care all year round for adults between 18 and 65 years of age who have learning disabilities and may present additional complex needs.

The Home

Aire House is a Victorian property set over four floors with paved areas to the front and the rear. The Home has eight bedrooms, two of which are en-suite. All bedrooms are spacious, well-furnished and decorated to individuals taste. Communal areas include the kitchen, dining rooms, laundry and lounge and have all been refurbished to provide a comfortable and homely living environment. Approximately a two minute walk away are local shops including pharmacy, post office, newsagent and small supermarket for service users to access.

The Care

The dedicated staff team provide emotional and psychological support through all day-to-day aspects of life which empower service users to live life to their full potential. The staff team also provide service users to identify and manage their behaviours by involving them in addressing the issues, formulating risk assessments and contributing to the development and evaluation of individualised care plans. It is also encouraged that family members and social workers are involved in this process.

The Facilities

Aire House offers individual activity and educational programs which are formulated and agreed with the service user and then reviewed, as required, to ensure that individual abilities and needs are being identified and met. The activities include the local college, adult training centres, vocational skills centres and our own diversional therapy team who work with small groups giving support to access the local community. Within the Home we promote on a continual basis the development of social skills, independent living skills and personal responsibility.
