Vaughan House is a residential care home which offers excellent services to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Georgina House is a small, 3-bedded Home for residents with learning disabilities and autism. The Homes are located in the centre of Luton, close to all local amenities.
The Home
Vaughan House is a Victorian house in the centre of Luton and has all the community facilities one would expect to find in such a location. It was recently refurbished with a new kitchen. Six of the ten rooms have en-suite facilities. The Home regularly creates projects for the residents, e.g. production of Oliver. Georgina House is a smaller Home for residents with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour.
The Care
Our multi-disciplinary team of staff are both dedicated and skilled to ensure high quality care 24 hours a day. The home staff sends out monthly reports to parents and carers to keep them up-to-date with the residents progress. Our carers use care programmes to maximise independence and ensure that each individual benefits from the highest quality of life.
The Facilities
We have a full activities programme which is set on a rota monthly. These include annual holidays, club visits, meeting residents’ religious and cultural needs. The activities are based on basic life principles and are geared towards encouraging greater independence for the residents. The Home also has access to the local college and provides college courses for the residents, which again encourage interests in alternative activities. In-house activities include football, video games, birthday parties, cooking etc.
