How to find us

Ashridge is a Residential Care Home providing quality 24-hour care for 20 adults with learning disabilities. The Home is located in the heart of its own extensive grounds of about half an acre.

The Home

Ashridge was once the home of an affluent GP and is located in the heart of South Lincolnshire. It became a Care Home for people with learning disabilities around 1992. A six-bedded semi- independent unit has since been added to the main house, which has ten single and two double bedrooms. All bedrooms have washing facilities, and there are six bath / shower rooms. Both living areas have large lounges and kitchens. The extensive, attractive gardens are laid mainly to lawn, with areas for growing vegetables and flowers.

The Care

Our dedicated care team are committed to a high standard of personal care, working on a 24-hour rota system. Individual needs are assessed and regularly monitored and reviewed. All residents have an allocated keyworker and we aim for a cheerful, friendly environment in which to maximise each person’s potential. The team works closely with outside professionals (including Social Services, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Psychology, as appropriate) and there is a good access to local GPs and Dentists. Ashridge residents are encouraged and supported in taking charge of their own lives - from bedroom decor to community work, recreational access and in achieving maximum independence.

The Facilities

Ashridge is committed to encouraging choice and self-fulfilment for our residents. Some attend the local college, some use social services run day care facilities, others access our own day services. There are regular residents’ meetings and we facilitate regular meetings for parents / carers. We will always listen and positively respond to any suggestions. Our Activities Co-ordinator, with support from all staff, arranges regular ten-pin bowling, swimming and trips to local cafes and restaurants. We are also half an hour’s drive from Skegness which is a very popular venue amongst our residents.
