How to find us

Ashfield Lodge Care Home provides accommodation for elderly people suffering from mental illness. The Home is purpose built and is situated in the small market town of Sleaford, Lincolnshire.

The Home

Opened in 1997, the Home is situated in a quiet part of the town with easy access and ample parking. Our aim is to provide a homely atmosphere away from the sometimes-clinical setting of a large nursing home. All bedrooms in Ashfield Lodge have en-suite facilities and colour co-ordinated furnishings and fittings. Relatives and residents are encouraged to bring personal possessions including pictures, photographs, ornaments and other favourite items. There are two lounge areas to give more space and create a relaxing atmosphere. Visitors are encouraged and made to feel welcome.

The Care

We practice a team approach with the assistance of a Consultant Psychiatrist. Highly motivated staff with individual skills are able to design and provide care to meet individual needs. Relatives are actively involved in care planning and are kept up-to-date and fully informed of residents progress. We have access to other specialists as and when required i.e.tissue viability nurses, continence adviser and dietician. These are contacted as and when required.

The Facilities

The Home also provides Day Care for up to ten people and has a respite care facility. Activities provided include table and board games, quizzes, crosswords, exercises and passive massage. The Day Unit also has a domestic kitchen where residents can learn daily living skills like baking, Making drinks and other kitchen activities. All activities are provided to meet the individual needs of each resident and are carried out daily on a ’one-to-one’ basis or in small groups. A mini bus is available to take residents out to places of interest or just a ride out.
