How to find us

The Meadows care Home provides for the elderly and is situated in the village of Thringstone, North West Leicestershire, close to the beauty spots of Charnwood Forest and Bradgate Park. It is within easy access of the M1 (Junction 23) and the M42 (Junction 13) motorways.

The Home

The Meadows is a purpose built dual registered home providing care for a total of 34 residents in a homely environment. Dining rooms and sitting rooms are spacious and all accommodation is provided in single rooms. In addition we have an easily accessible conservatory area on the ground floor and a quiet lounge on the first floor, both overlooking the garden. The gardens are landscaped and well stocked with a variety of plants and flowers with a patio area where residents are able to sit and enjoy sunny afternoons.

The Care

The Home offers an individualised person-centred approach. We are able to provide care for nursing, residential, respite and convalescent residents all delivered by dedicated staff showing respect to and ensuring the dignity of our residents at all times. We offer a choice of menu and excellent home cooking all prepared by our own chef. Our provision of both nursing and residential care enables us to provide a care home for life, without the need to change accommodation as care needs increase. We strive to ensure that our residents live their lives to the full, not just adding years to their life but more importantly, life to their years.

The Facilities

We have a lively and full activities programme which is tailor-made to residents’ assessed needs. Activities are organised week to week which allows for variety and includes outings, social events and entertainments. The families of our residents are seen as an integral part of The Meadows. We have an open invitation for relatives and friends to join residents for meals and social events. Relatives are also encouraged to participate in all aspects of life within the Home and to contribute to care planning. In addition to our activities programme, we enjoy excellent links with the local community and church, which includes visits by volunteers who hold group activities and one-to-one visits.
