How to find us

Kalmia & Mallow provides quality care for people with learning difficulties. The Home is located on the outskirts of the market town of Watton in Norfolk. Their location gives good access to the extensive forests of the area and the Norfolk Broads and Coast.

The Home

Kalmia & Mallow are two purpose built bungalows situated within walking distance of the town centre. The Homes have been designed to provide a comfortable environment for twelve male and female clients with learning difficulties, aged between 18-64 years. We provide a high standard of care and implement a varied day care structure. We believe that a client’s choice is paramount and aim to help service users live life as independently as possible, thus achieving their full potential.

The Care

Our ratio of staff ensures that service users needs are met at all times with one-to-one care implemented where necessary care is provided within a safe environment, ensuring privacy and dignity at all times. We have 24-hour staff cover, with a senior member of two waking night staff on duty with one sleeping carer. Kalmia & Mallow works in partnership with the Local Learning Disabilities Team, Doctors, Dentists and Pharmacy. This ensures that clients receive a complete holistic care approach.

The Facilities

The bungalows provide spacious accommodation with large TV lounges, music rooms, fully equipped kitchen and dining areas. There is also a sensory room in one bungalow. A varied activities programme is implemented, in which residents take an active part. This includes horse riding, go-karting, swimming, climbing, bowling and sailing. Residents are very involved with shopping and menu planning along with meal preparation. We find this encourages choice and the evening meal is never dull.
