Supported Living Services - Craegmoor's 'Supporting You'

As the UK’s leading independent provider of support for people with learning disabilities, complex needs, autism and mental health conditions, Craegmoor is on hand to help you with individual needs.

Craegmoor’s Supported Living Division ‘Supporting You’ is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Care Inspectorate (CI) and Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW), operating across England, Scotland and Wales.

All of our innovative services are focused on supporting people to be as independent as possible within their own homes and in their local community. It is our aim to support individuals in achieving their goals, believing passionately that every person, regardless of the challenges they face, can accomplish extraordinary achievements with just the right support. ‘Supporting You’ believes that everyone has the right to individually tailored support, whether they need 4:1 staffing or a few hours a week to be supported with their tenancy.

Developing independence skills

We support and encourage individuals with everyday tasks, including personal care, housing related tasks, household chores, grocery shopping and managing their money. We make it possible for people to access local facilities such as leisure centres and libraries, as well as helping them to fulfil their education or employment wishes. We are also able to plan and support people to go on holidays, trips to the theatre, football matches etc.

We understand that people may wish to use a personal budget, direct payment or Self Directed Support (Scotland) to pay for Craegmoor staff to provide support. We are able to work with individuals and their advocates to ensure that this is set up to meet the person’s needs.

Individual tailored support

Everything we do at Craegmoor is guided by the people who use our services, so the support we offer through ‘Supporting You’ is completely dependent on the needs of each individual. We offer a flexible and person-centred approach to allow us to align our services to meet the unique needs of the people we support. We will ensure right from the beginning that you will know what we will do to support you and our responsibilities to you, which can include helping you with setting up your home and gaining a tenancy.

We have an enthusiastic and highly trained staff team who work together to ensure that we provide consistency, continuity and quality support; this helps people to develop and grow in order to reach their full potential.

At Craegmoor, we support all aspects of daily life including:

  • Personal care
  • Healthy eating
  • Taking medication
  • Maintaining the home
  • Paying bills
  • Budgeting
  • Maintaining tenancies
  • Support with benefits
  • Employment
  • Further education
  • Learning new skills

  • Maintaining a good social life
  • 24 hour support is available if needed

We ensure that the support focuses on giving people a real choice on what they want to do with their lives, how they want to do it and in a way that promotes participation, presence and inclusion.

Care pathways

The individuals we support can progress through Craegmoor’s care pathways, developing their levels of independence, and where appropriate, transfer seamlessly to a Supported Living model. ‘Supporting You’ works alongside education, healthcare and residential services to ensure that the support is just right for the individual.
