Mental Health Care and Support Services

At Craegmoor, we provide a range of support services for individuals with mental health conditions. Our aim is to empower individuals by providing a care pathway which focuses on recovery, encouraging people to gain control of their lives, enjoy sustainable independence and have belief in their potential.

We provide support for some people with mental health problems in their own homes, whilst others require specialised support to enable them to recover and develop in a safe environment. Designing specialist support to suit a person's unique requirements is key to Craegmoor's service, with a focus on personal development plans and working within the National Service Framework for Mental Health.

How can Craegmoor help?

In the UK, 25% of the population will experience a mental health problem at some time in their lives. For most people, the symptoms will be relatively minor, but others may require long term or specialist support in order to help them to recover or manage their condition.

At Craegmoor, we recognise that mental health problems affect everyone in very different ways, so to meet this challenge we have a range of services designed to meet a variety of needs, including:

  • Residential services
  • Supported living
  • Healthcare at independent hospitals
  • Support to access education and further education
  • Support in accessing employment opportunities
  • Multi-disciplinary team assistance

Craegmoor, as part of the Priory Group, has access to a host of independent hospitals which offer treatment and support for adults with a range of mental health problems. We aim to support individuals by means of a care pathway that meets their requirements and fulfils their maximum potential. This includes a developed and clear pathway from step down services through residential and supported living services and onwards to owning their own home.

Understanding mental health and individual needs

When it comes to mental health problems, receiving the correct support can aid recovery and improve symptoms. For other people, the right support means being able to develop coping techniques which can make a noticeable difference to their everyday lives. At Craegmoor, we can help to deliver these effective outcomes through our care, support and access to therapy services.

Severe or serious mental health conditions currently affect every one in 100 people. Some of the most common conditions that we support may include:

  • Depression
  • Bipolar (sometimes referred to as manic depression)
  • Schizophrenia
  • Personality disorders
  • Anxiety
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Phobias

At Craegmoor, we see every person as an individual to ensure that they are receiving the most appropriate services for their needs. Craegmoor has services in both residential and supported living that support people with a range of mental health needs. We ensure that a consistent specialist approach to individuals is key towards being well. Delivering high quality and excellence in services is what we do best and we are well placed and committed to achieving positive outcomes for the people we support.

At the heart of our care pathways, people who use services are key to shaping our approach, so that we provide person centred and innovative choices that encompass each individual’s needs to achieve positive outcomes and an independent lifestyle. We do this by providing just enough support whilst caring for each person with dignity and respect. Living with a mental health problem can be challenging, but there is always support available should you need it.
