Turketel Road

At Turketel Road we provide understanding and support for people with learning disabilities, Autism and challenging behaviour. We are a transition service which aims to support people to improve their daily living skills, so they can live more independently.

Overview of service

Every individual is supported by a person centred care plan specific to their own needs.Our aim is to maximise the potential and skills of everyone in our service.1 to 1 support is provided to individuals that require more support.Everyone is treated as individuals and have the choice and freedom to maximise their abilities.CQC grading was adequate.

What it's like to live here

On a weekly/daily basis people living at Turketel Road can access: college courses, a sports centre and the local town facilities such as swimming, bowling, chopping and going to the cinema.

Surroundings

The town centre is only a fifteen minute walk away and the main line rail and bus links are close by. The local college is a ten minute walk away and there is good access to the beach and countryside.

Service facilities

The home has six bedrooms with a large back garden. All bedrooms are personalised to the individual's choice. There is a sport centre within walking distance for all sporting leisure activities and everyone has the choice to access local social clubs and discos. The home has a sensory room and access to computers/internet in all bedrooms. All dietary requirements are catered for and everyone is involved with menu planning and food shopping.
