Travis Gardens Respite Care

Travis Gardens provides respite care for up to 12 people with learning and physical disabilities. Individuals are as fully involved as possible in the running of the service including planning activities and evenings out. Staff support individuals in maintaining a safe environment whilst enabling the individual to develop skills and maintain independence.

What it's like to live here

Everyone using our service has access to a secondary education centre. The staff help discuss what activities individuals would like to do in the evenings and at the weekends. Activities are monitored by staff who maintain a friendly professionalism in building good interpersonal relationships with all. These activities may include visiting the pub, going for walks, playing cards, face painting, cooking and visiting the many local areas of interest to name but a few.

The service is situated close to the town centre and has easy access to all local amenities.

Travis Gardens offers a friendly, homely environment whilst still ensuring that specialist care needs are met.

The service accommodates up to twelve adults with bedrooms on both the ground floor and first floor so that physical needs can be met. Travis Gardens is tastefully decorated throughout and boasts a high level of staff to resident ratio. The service aims to promote as much independence as possible for individuals and is purpose built with this in mind. The comfortable, warm and safe environment aims to provide a feeling of security, enhancing each residents way of life.
