The Whitehouse

White House provides quality care based on respect for individuals, their right to make choices, maintain dignity and receive the best care and support to suit individual needs. The service promotes independence and the life skills coach works with the individuals on personal development plans enabling them to progress towards supported living services. The service offers accommodation for 6 adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

What it's like to live here

Our life skills coach organises a range of daily activities both in and out of the home that are planned in conjunction with the wishes of those who use our service. The individuals enjoy dance and music sessions, swimming, horse riding, bowling, trips to the cinema, holidays, boomerang sessions, day trips, arts and crafts. Life skills development programmes are also put in place.

Everyone is encouraged to develop their personal care skills, communication and social skills, attend community groups, enhance their home skills including shopping, dietary planning, cookery, laundry, gardening and cleaning. College courses are available including music, art, communication, speech, cooking, arts and crafts, dancing or gardening.
