The Beeches offers nursing, residential and continuing health care for 44 older people with age related illnesses and physical disabilities. Our dedicated and caring staff team provide 24 hour support in a relaxed and homely atmosphere.

Each person has a comprehensive care package tailored to meet their individual needs, a named nurse and a key worker.

What it's Like to Live Here

We create and help maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home. We do this by positively encouraging regular interaction between residents and the local community. This includes contact with friends, former neighbours and involvement with local groups.

We encourage participation from families and friends through regular visits, involvement in special days and other events.

There are also an extensive range of activities which individuals can choose to become involved in. These may include gardening or producing life story books.

Every week a hairdresser visits the home so residents can have their hair styled on a regular basis.

Surroundings

The Beeches is ideally situated at the edge of Aberdare town centre in the Cynon Valley and is within walking distance of bus and railway stations and a taxi rank.

Service Facilities

Built in 1989, the service was extended in 1993 on site of the old Tax Office. The Beeches has a fresh, modern appearance and bedrooms are individually furnished and decorated. Individuals are encouraged to bring in their own ornaments, pictures, and furniture, to make the service as homely as possible.

There are 5 lounges within The Beeches, all with televisions and music centres.

The mobile library calls regularly and provides large print books.
