St Brannocks

St Brannocks supports 7 people with learning disabilities, Autism, Asperger Syndrome, Smith-Magenis Syndrome and challenging behaviour. We aim to provide a safe and homely environment, where all individuals can make their own choices about the support they receive. We do everything we can to improve the health and wellbeing of the individuals we support and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone.

Overview of Service

St Brannocks supports 7 people with learning disabilities, Autism, Asperger Syndrome, Smith-Magenis Syndrome and challenging behaviour. The service is open to all people between the ages of 18 years to 65 years.

Our dedicated Multi Disciplinary Team of staff provide 24 hour support and the level of support provided is entirely dependent on individuals' needs. We strive to continually improve upon service quality in all areas.

All individuals are involved in designing their own Person Centred Plan, with staff support. The plans are tailored to suit individual needs and provide the correct level of support required. They also enable all individuals to make their own choices about the support they receive. We encourage and support those at St Brannocks to recognise and identify their goals and ambitions and how they would like to go about meeting them.

St Brannocks promotes Craegmoor's communication strategy, "Your Voice", which encourages individuals, based on their preferred method of communication, to voice their views about the support

they receive. Monthly meetings are held where individuals are able to represent the views and voices of others living at the service. This is extended to a voice at area, divisional and national level.

What it's Like to Live Here

Although the people living at St Brannocks are all of different ages and gender, they enjoy doing activities as a group. We get involved with different activities from day to day, depending on what everyone wants to do. Some activities include going for lunches out, shopping and visiting places of interest.

Some individuals attend day care facilities and everyone is encouraged and supported to pursue their own educational or leisure interests.

We also go on holidays abroad and everyone helps to choose and plan where to go.

Surroundings

St Brannocks is situated in Romney Marsh, a beautiful rural area of Kent, which is only a couple of miles away from beautiful sandy beaches.

Service Facilities

St Brannocks has a large secluded garden and there is a permanent, well-used BBQ. Attached to the main building is a large conservatory that looks out onto the garden.
