Southbank

Southbank provides nursing care for 24 older people and 16 physically disabled people between the ages of 18 - 65. We provide tailored care packages to meet the needs of each individual.

What It's Like to Live Here

We create and help maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home. We do this by positively encouraging regular interaction between residents and the local community. This includes contact with friends, former neighbours and involvement with local groups.

We encourage participation from families and friends through regular visits, involvement in special days and other events. There are also an extensive range of activities which everyone can choose to become involved in. These may include gardening, producing life story books and going dancing.

Every week a hairdresser visits the home so residents can have their hair styled on a regular basis.

Southbank is situated in the village of Bowdon on the outskirts of the historic town of Altrincham, close to all amenities and within easy reach of Manchester.

Southbank has been thoughtfully extended and converted to offer all modern facilities, whilst retaining its character and homely atmosphere. The accommodation at Southbank is as individual as the care and support we provide; we encourage everyone to personalise their bedrooms to help them feel at home. Our rooms are light and airy with many benefiting from en-suite facilities.

Our dedicated and caring staff team provide 24 hour support in a relaxed and homely atmosphere. We are also fully supported by a range of community health services including GPs, physiotherapists, chiropodists and dentists.

Everyone has a comprehensive care package tailored to meet their individual needs, a named nurse and a key worker.
