Rose Court

At Rose court we offer 24 hour support, however many of those who use our service enjoy independent lives and we have supported them in finding suitable education, day opportunities within the community and some now have a job.
Overview of service
We are currently rated with CQC as "good" and achieved particularly well in promoting independence and attention to detail within our individual care plans. The individuals who use our service and staff have a genuine relationship with a clear mutual respect, each individual has a nominated "key worker" and benefit from monthly key worker meetings where they are given the opportunity to resolve and discuss any problems as well as plan those all important social events.
What it's like to live here
We have a robust activity programme that was devised with individuals and offers a range of activities that are all community based, a typical weeks programme would include electronic learning, dance classes, employment swimming, bowling, cinema, visits to others towns and villages, floral arranging as well as cookery.
Surroundings
The location of Rose Court is just outside the main town centre but can be easily reached by the local bus within 10 mins. We are also very close to the train station making it easy to have days out, in London. We are 15 mins away from London Luton airport. In the immediate area we have newsagents, a pub, the Doctors and a community centre.
Service facilities
Rose Court is a very large and has a big landscaped garden, this is well used in the summer months as we love to have BBQ parties and invite lots of friends, we recently had a BBQ party and enjoyed singing to music with the local choir using makaton it was a fantastic day. As we have ten bedrooms we have two lounges and two kitchens, individuals at the home are encouraged to prepare what meals they can for themselves and staff are always on hand to help with the more difficult areas of cooking. We also have a car that we used for day trips and transporting individuals to their social events. Everyone is given the opportunity to choose the colour's they would like in their bedrooms. All bedrooms on the ground floor have en-suites but share a wet room and bathroom, in the other bedrooms they have en-suits and showers. Individuals where appropriate are encouraged to take care of their own laundry and have use of two laundry rooms whenever they need to.
