Orchid Lawns
Orchid Lawns supports 24 individuals. Our CQC rating on 4th of February 2009 was 2 stars a Good service. We use Person Centred Planning for all those who use our service and offer 24 hour care and support.
What it's like to live here
The emphasis in the home is to maximise independence as much as possible. This is usually done by encouraging and promoting participation in daily activities of daily living. Activities which promote this ethos are exercise to encourage movement, board games to encourage memory stimulation and trips out in the community.
Surroundings
The home is within Steppingley Hospital grounds and has open views from all angles across the countryside. It is close to the town of Flitwick and Ampthill.
Service facilities
It is a single storey service with 24 ensuite bedrooms, an activity room, a conservatory, an impressive enclosed garden with raised beds and assisted bathrooms. People are encouraged to bring their own personal items to decorate and personalise their rooms.

Welcome to Orchid Lawns, I'm the Manager. Orchid Lawns cares for up to 24 people with organic Dementia and expressive behaviour. Most of our residents do daily activities which are tailored to individual needs and also group activities and there is a weekly minibus trip out to places of interest.
