Marshlands

Marshlands supports people with learning disabilities and those with epilepsy and diabetes. We support up to 16 people at Marshlands, and the service was rated as 1 star, adequate on 13th June 2009. We use Person centred planning for all that choose to use our service.
What it's like to live here
We offer a wide range of activities and we have regular trips out to local tourist attractions. Some of the activities include: watching Lydd Town play football, going for walks along long beach, cycling, fishing and individuals are encourage to help with the cooking, cleaning and gardening.
Some of the people living here enjoy going horse riding and attending activities at the Romney Marsh Vocational centre such as Arts and Crafts, Bingo, Discos, Karaoke, Country and Western dancing, Dance and Movement, Literacy and sports sessions. We often go shopping in the local town or visit the local pub.
Surroundings
There are a selection of shops and facilities in the local town and a wider range of shops in the neighbouring town only a short bus ride away. There are buses to and from the town hourly. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and are lose to the sea.
Service facilities
We provide a service for up to 16 individuals providing 15 single rooms and 1 independent living flat. We have a spacious garden with horticulture area, patio area and different quiet seating areas.
We are visited by District Nurses, Physiotherapists, Chiropodist and Aroma therapist and we offer a full day care programme.
