Hobbits Holt

Hobbits Holt provides 24-hour care for six people with learning disabilities between the ages of 23-64.. Each individual has a personal care package, which reflects their own personal needs and independent living. Hobbits Holt works closely with the local community learning disability team that provides a high standard of information, support and advice.

What it's like to live here

To keep everyone physically active and stimulated, Hobbits Holt provides a varied activities programme, planned in consultation with those who use our service. These include a wide variety of college courses, swimming and horse riding. Day trips are also organised and include shopping, music festivals, local attractions and the seaside. We also offer evenings out to places such as bingo, bowling, snooker, disco's, cinema and theatre.

During the year the residents have a holiday of their choice.

Hobbits Holt is situated in Ruspidge, which is one mile of Cinderford town. It has a local shop and pubs all within walking distance.

Service facilities

Hobbits Holt is situated in a quiet residential area with off road parking and no main roads. Our overall aim is that individuals achieve their full potential in social and educational activities and day-to-day life.

The house and decor is reflected in the resident's personalities and lifestyle and is shown throughout the house and gardens The service provides a U.V. light/dark room, sensory room, music therapy room, quiet room, TV lounge and outdoor activities such as swingball and basketball.
