Our ratio of staff to those who use our service ensures a supportive framework of support in which individuals can achieve their potential within a safe environment with dignity and respect.

What it's like to live here

Our activities co-ordinator organises a wide range of daily activities both in and out of the service. People enjoy swimming, horse riding, bowling, trips to cinema, outings to pubs and shopping.

College courses are available and include music, art, communication, speech, cooking, relaxation, arts and crafts, dancing or gardening.

The home is situated in Gloucester with easy access to local shops and amenities.

Service facilities

Heighton House offers a warm and homely environment with opportunities for people to extend and enhance the quality of their day-to-day living. The service has been tastefully decorated throughout with individual decor in each bedroom to meet the requirements and needs of each individual.

We offer accommodation to 8 people with learning disabilities. The service has a large conservatory within a substantial airy lounge area, dining room, kitchen, utility room and a tranquil, secluded garden, which offers a relaxing atmosphere and a quiet retreat. The residents are encouraged to personalise their own space.

Our own transport is used for visits to local places of interest and to go out to local day services and resource centres.
