Avon House

Avon House provides 24-hour nursing care for older people and also offers respite care, palliative care and convalescence. Care and support is provided within a friendly, homely environment, led by an experienced Service Manager, with a team of Registered Nurses and Care Assistants.

Overview of service

We aim to provide a high standard of nursing care, designed to enhance the quality of life of an individual. Each person has an individual care package, specifically planned to reflect their personal needs and choices. A multi-disciplinary approach to care forms parts of the overall philosophy of care, with professional, friendly staff to answer any queries. Family and friends are encouraged to contribute to the care we give and to participate in the delivery of the care if desired. Support staff such as catering or cleaning all form an integral part of the care delivered.

What it's like to live here

Our Activities Co-ordinator provides a planned programme of weekly events including local trips to such venues as the London Eye, the London Aquarium and the Chelsea Flower Show, to name but a few. In-house activities range from an afternoon of classical music, playing board games, sing-a-longs, quizzes, as well as very enjoyable bingo sessions. Birthdays are celebrated in style with lots of home made cake, sherry or wine!

Avon House is situated in an exclusive central London location and is easily accessed by public transport. Located just off Kensington Palace Gardens, The Royal Albert Hall and Holland Park Gardens, the service is near some of the best shops in London.

Service facilities

The majority of rooms are single; with some shared and all possess en-suite facilities. It is our aim to ensure that the individual dignity and quality of life for all at Avon House is maintained in a relaxed, personalised environment.
