Ashridge

At Ashridge we do everything we can to improve the health and wellbeing of the people we support and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone. Our dedicated support team provide 24 hour support and are committed to a high standard of personal care.
Overview of Service
Ashridge offers a high standard of support for people with learning disabilities. In addition to the main house, which supports 12 people, there is a separate bungalow that provides support for 6 people.
Everyone is involved in designing their own Person Centred Plan, with staff support. The plans are tailored to suit individual needs and provide the correct level of support required. They also enable people to make their own choices about the support they receive. We encourage and support everyone at Ashridge to recognise and identify their goals and ambitions and how they would like to go about meeting them.
The team works closely with outside professionals including social services, physiotherapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists and psychologists, and there is good access to local GPs and dentists.
What it's Like to Live Here
There are a wide range of activities to get involved with at Ashridge, both in and out of the service. With staff support, everyone living here chooses and plans which activities they would like to do. Our activities Co-ordinator often arranges activities such as ten-pin bowling, swimming and trips to local cafes and restaurants.
Ashridge is committed to encouraging choice and self-fulfilment. Some people attend the local college, some use social services led day care facilities and others access our own day services. There are regular meetings and we encourage family, carers and friends to visit regularly. We will always listen and positively respond to any suggestions.
Surroundings
Ashridge is located in the heart of its own extensive grounds of about half an acre. It is half an hour's drive from Skegness, which for many of the people living here is a very popular location to visit.
Service Facilities
All bedrooms have washing facilities and there are 6 bath / shower rooms. Both living areas have large lounges and kitchens. The large gardens offer a place to relax and there is also an area where people can grow their own vegetables.
