We offer care and support for older people who have a mental health illness need such as Dementia.

Overview of service

A person centred care plan system is in place to ensure that individual likes, dislikes and abilities are supported at all times. It also enables us to tailor support to the specific needs of the individual and ensure we support them in the best possible way.

The Care Quality Commission have reviewed the service we provide and have awarded us a 3 star rating for excellence for the last three years.

We have specialist equipment the home such as hoists, profile beds, pressure relieving mattresses etc.

What it's like to live here

There are various daily activities for groups such as bingo as well as one-to-one activities like manicures. An exercise group is provided weekly by the Physiotherapist who visits. There are also monthly events throughout the year that everyone is welcome to be involved in.

Surroundings

Ashfield Lodge is a single storey building that was purpose built in 1997. We are situated in Sleaford which is a quiet market town and easily accessible by road or by rail. A short walk or drive takes you into the town with all it's shops, cafes etc.

Service facilities

There are 20 bedrooms all of which have en-suite toilet and wash facilities and are bright and well decorated. It is encouraged to personalise them with pictures, ornaments and other favourite things in order to ensure it has a homely feel as possible. There are two large lounges both having access to the gardens, all of which are safely enclosed. Spacious grounds include a sensory garden, large pond and plenty of benches to sit.

Dietary needs are taken care of by our chef who visits everyone daily to ask for their choices and all diets are catered for.
