Alpine Lodge supports individuals with learning disabilities in a homely environment.

Overview of service

The remaining flats can be shared accommodation for two people or for one person who requires full assistance of staff including dedicated night staff. This flat has two bathrooms one of which is an accessible shower. There is a shared laundry, office and staff sleep in room. The garden is large and beautifully landscaped and can be reached form each flat via a patio door from the sitting rooms. A large wooden veranda runs along the rear of the building. An assessment of needs would be carried out before the person moves in this will determine the level of support each person requires. This will then build into the person centred plan following the reach standards.

What it's like to live here

We can support people to access local educational providers supporting placements for work and further education. There are two colleges that offer full time courses or short sessions from cookery to pottery classes.

Surroundings

The building is in an area with great countryside walks. There is a shop and post office close by.

The regular bus service goes into the city of Peterborough. Where further transport links are for trains or coaches.The city has a large shopping complex plus banks and supermarkets.

Leisure activities can include swimming there is also an out -door pool that opens in the summer months.

There is a wide selection of athletic activities and people are recognised for their achievements there is a special Olympics team. Health service support is offered from the local G.P service or specialist support from the hospital and local psychiatric team.

Service facilities

Each Flat has access via its own decking to the fully enclosed peaceful garden. This is fully accessible for people who may have physical disabilities.
