53 Arbour Street

Arbour Street, offer support to young adults with learning disabilities and autism. There are two staff onsite to support the three individuals during the day and an additional sleep over staff at night times. The staff to resident ratios are extremely high and ensure we provide quality support to all that use our services. We have received a Good rating in the most recent CQC inspection in March 2009 which is a 2 star rating.

Overview of service

Our staff follow a person centred approach to care planning. Arbour Street has annual holidays for which residents as well as staff select suitable places to visit. There are regular day trips out to Castles, Museums and Exhibitions

Those who currently live at Arbour Street like to help with meal planning, cooking, cleaning, activity planning, socialising and gardening on a regular basis. Many go on work placements and particularly enjoy this independence.

Arbour Street is close to the town centre and local amenities like shops, pubs, cinema and theatre. Local transport links are great, the bus is only minutes away on foot. The rail service means free travel to most of the places in the Merseyside area and access to all local ferries on the Mersey.

Attractions in the area include Space Port and Knowsley Safari Park.
