Southbank
Summary
Older People
Southbank was originally built in the 19th century and has been established as one of Altrincham’s premier services since 1974. Southbank offers excellent support for people who require nursing care including those who are frail. We have a multi-skilled team, who all are dedicated and committed to giving an excellent standard of care and support.
What it's like to live here
We offer a full and varied activities programme specifically designed for the different needs of individuals, including watching a film, lots of outings to the theatre, trips to the Safari Park and the illuminations. Other activities include painting, light exercise, bingo, quizzes, playing the accordion, sing-a-long sessions and varied entertainers throughout the year. We also have Church of England and Catholic communion services. We have an open visiting policy and family and friends are always welcome.
Surroundings
Southbank is situated in the village of Bowdon on the outskirts of the historic town of Altrincham, close to all amenities and within easy reach of Manchester.
Service facilities
Southbank has been thoughtfully extended and converted to offer all modern facilities whilst retaining its character and homely atmosphere. The accommodation at Southbank is as individual as the care and support; we encourage individuals to personalise their rooms with special items of furniture to help them feel at home. Our rooms are light and airy with many benefiting from en-suite facilities.
Overview of service
This is fully supported by the services of an individuals own chosen GP and further complemented with a range of community services including Physiotherapist, Chiropodist and Dentist.
