Jubilee Gardens was purpose built in 2002 and provides 24-hour care and support for 50 older people with need nursing care and/or support for mental illnesses,. There is also an onsite day centre for 24 people.
Overview of service
Jubilee Gardens dedicated staff team of nurses, carers and auxiliary staff are committed to provide a high standard of care to all people. Every effort is made to provide everything necessary to fulfil individual’s everyday requirements. Everyone at Jubilee Gardens is respected for their individuality and encouraged to maximise their potential. Care and support is provided in a manner that offers privacy, respect, and dignity. Individuals are able to exercise maximum choice on matters relating to their daily lives. Qualified nurses are on duty 24-hours a day and are able to cascade knowledge and experience to the team members.
What it's like to live here
The Day Care Centre operates from Monday to Friday and offers recreational facilities including TV, Radio, handicrafts, games and pastimes, activities to assist in overcoming some of the effects of confusion, physical activity to maintain functioning, cooking and re-learning lost self care skills.
Surroundings
The Home is located six miles from Birmingham City Centre and is easily accessible to M6 and the M42 network.
Service facilities
Jubilee Gardens provides spacious accommodation with en-suite bedrooms, communal lounges with TV, Video and music facilities along with several further quiet areas. Rooms are individually furnished. Individuals are encouraged to bring in their own personal possessions to ensure that home-from-home feeling.
There are 50 rooms all with en-suite facilities, TV point, nurse call system, and ample power points. A well balanced diet is offered with a choice from the menu. Individuals have the choice to dine alone or in a communal dining room. People are actively encouraged to participate with daily activities arranged by our full-time co-ordinator with a varied programme.
