Cumbrae Lodge
The care at Cumbrae Lodge is delivered by a multi–disciplinary team committed to the 24 hour care and well-being of everyone living here. Everyone has an individual support package, specifically designed to cater for their needs. A qualified nurse/key worker is assigned to each person. Cumbrae Lodge promotes Craegmoors “Your Voice” communication strategy which ensures everyone's opinions are taken into consideration.

Weekly meetings are held with the individual's families to discuss all aspects of the home.
What it's like to live here
We have two activity co-ordinators who ensure that everyone has a full and varied programme of activities. This includes, baking, games, bus trips to places of interest, bingo, church services, and dominos. We also have a fully equipped activity room. There is a gardening committee for the spring and summer weather. There is a weekly visit from the chaplain.
Surroundings
We are situated in the coastal town of Irvine, where we are easily accessed by the local bus services. The train station is approximately 15 minutes walk away. The local shops and amenities are all easily accessed.
Service facilities
At Cumbrae Lodge we can provide nursing care for up to 90 older people. The building is all on the one level so is easily accessed by all. We have specialised equipment to aid with day to day living. Individuals are welcome to bring with them personal items to personalise their own rooms creating a homely atmosphere in their room which can be decorated to suit the individual.
Each of the six units has its own garden which can provide a relaxing retreat. We have an in house chef who ensures that there is a choice of menus to cater for all cultural, medical and personal preferences. We have our own transport in an 8 seater mini bus which is used for various day trips. We have daily visits for our attending GP.
On a fortnightly basis we have the chiropodist, dental and optician can be arranged as required.Also available to us are the services of the community physiotherapist and speech and language therapist. We have an in house hairdresser and in house laundry facilities.
