We specialise in dementia care offering nursing and residential care and support. We care for 50 people. Our staff to resident ratio is 1:5 and nursing ratio is 1:4. Offering person centred care, 24 hour support, a nurse call system, as well as, bathing aids. Addison Court has recently been awarded a CQC rating of 2 star in April 2009 which is a true reflection of its quality of care and the support that is offered to those to who choose to use our services.
What it's like to live here
Many of the residents at Addison Court have a large focus on gardening and outdoor activities. Producing life story books are also a popular hobby helping many as a way to keep a record of memories.
Dancing and walks with Age Concern locally are well liked by the residents. On a weekly basis the hairdresser visits allowing residents the opportunity to have their hair styled on a regular basis. Fortnightly a therapist visits providing manicures and hand and arm massages.
Surroundings
Addison Court is on the outskirts of town with a short walk into the town centre. There is a church and a number of schools in the vicinity. The local transport links are also good with a number of bus routes close by.
Service Facilities
Addison Court has a large, secure garden for residents to use and enjoy. There is a vegetable plot and patio area. There is a homely atmosphere in which residents are encouraged to maintain their independence and individuality.
People are encouraged to personalise their own bedrooms.
The chef caters to all dietary requirements and individuals are supported to make meals.
