Working alongside Commissioners across Commissioning Support Units, Clinical Commissioning Groups and Local Authorities, we constantly strive to design and deliver new demand-led, bespoke services. We ensure each of the commissioning intentions is understood by the Craegmoor team in both growing and delivering our services. To enable clarity we focus on high quality, outcome based, best value services and believe in working in an effective way for the commissioner and the individual being supported. We focus on the principles of choice and independence, enabling people to live within their local community and have fulfilled lives.

In addition to these partnerships, we also believe it is incredibly important to be working closely with the people that use our services, their families and carers. People we support can expect to be at the centre of all we do. The Craegmoor team will work as part a close and holistic network of support as we see this as the key to ensuring our services are truly person-centred.

Referrals and Enquiries

Craegmoor supports individuals to achieve their goals, believing passionately that every person, regardless of the challenges they face, can accomplish extraordinary achievements with the right support. Getting an individual the right care and support is of paramount importance to us at Craegmoor. We offer a responsive, free initial assessment to identify the individual’s needs and how we can support them.

Should an urgent situation arise, assessments can be undertaken on the same day as you call our dedicated central enquiries team. We can also carry out assessments at a time to suit the individual in need of specialist care, including evenings and weekends. We have a dedicated, professionally qualified referral and assessment team who are able to offer advice and guidance on existing and future placement opportunities.

Service Development

As part of the Priory Group of Companies, Craegmoor is able to work alongside commissioners to develop demand-led local services. Striving for excellence, Craegmoor has an established track record of developing, building, commissioning and operating high quality, bespoke services for people with a variety of needs, often multiple, complex and co–existing. We have been able to create ‘brick up’, highly specialist environments to meet the needs of the individuals we support. All of these services have been developed at Craegmoor’s risk without obligation from the host area. Our aim is to develop and deliver local services for local people, who need them.

The Craegmoor Autism Strategy

Craegmoor is committed to ensuring the people we support receive the best possible care and support and that the staff we employ benefit from an enhanced level of training.

We have an autism strategy, which sets out Craegmoor’s intentions to support people with Autism. This strategy includes a 4-stage training program, delivered through Craegmoor’s internal quality development leaders in Autism. This incorporates a number of learning styles, culminating in the staff being offered the opportunity to attend a university accredited course, bespoke to Craegmoor.

In addition, the strategy enables the staff team and people we support to access a wide range of tools and resources which is stored on the intranet for people to use to give them points, tips and good practice guides. Additionally the strategy sets out our intention for each of the people we support to have an autism profile.

Latterly, we are reviewing the Autism Aware Kite Mark, which Craegmoor has successfully used previously. It is currently under review to reflect recent changes in legislation and best practice and will be trialled within specific services in the near future.
