OLDER PEOPLE LEARNING DISABILITIES MENTAL HEALTH

September mental health forum

29 August 2008

A mental health forum is set to take place this September to help professionals learn how to understand legislative changes.

They will also be coached in governance and developing business aptitude to help their organisations operate more efficiently.

Chief executive of South Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Dr Patrick Geoghegan is set to educate delegates on how to develop partnerships with other bodies and will lead a panel discussion on making links between different sectors and interested parties.

Professor Paul Stanton will reveal how to gain effective governance arrangements and how to navigate the legislative challenges faced by those working in the mental health industries.

Conference chair Paul Jenkins, chief executive of Rethink, will also be taking part in the event and will be around to contribute his knowledge and opinions to discussions.

The event will take place in Manchester on September 10th.

Earlier this week, the Institute of Psychiatry held its annual conference at King's College London.
