About Wingfield Road

Wingfield Road supports up to five people with learning disabilities. Every person at Wingfield Road is involved in designing their own Person Centred Plan, with support from our friendly and dedicated staff team. Each plan is tailored to suit individual needs and provide the correct level of support required.

Our approach to care:

At Wingfield Road, we are passionate about providing just the right level of support so individuals can live as independently as possible. Support can be received 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we can also provide one-to-one psychological support where needed. We have excellent links with local colleges and employers, and encourage everyone we support to be involved in the local community.

Wingfield Road promotes Craegmoor's communication programme, "Your Voice", which allows people we support to provide feedback about the service they receive, as well as speaking about any suggestions they have for our site. Monthly meetings are held where individuals are able to represent the views and voices of others living at the service.

What it’s like to live here:

There are a wide range of activities to get involved with at Wingfield Road; both within the service and in the community. Everybody living here helps to choose and plan which activities are available and what they would like to do. A well established day programme is available for individuals who wish to develop their daily living skills.

Individuals are able to get involved with the daily chores and tasks within the house, helping to develop social skills, independent living and personal responsibility. This includes activities such as shopping, cooking, laundry and cleaning - dependent upon an individual's ability.

Wingfield Road is situated on the main road leading into Trowbridge town, just a 15 minute walk from the town centre. The service is easily accessible by public transport, being close to bus stops and the train station. There are shops close by.

“Craegmoor staff have helped me understand myself better.” – Person supported by Craegmoor

Wingfield Road has two en-suite ground floor rooms, a one bed apartment and a two bed apartment; this provides everyone with a private space and the opportunity to develop their independent living skills.

There are also communal areas and a communal laundry facility. The accommodation is designed to reflect the 'stepping stone' element of the service for individuals to learn and grow and eventually move into more supported living services.

Wingfield Road has may be suitable for those who meet the following admissions criteria:
