The Spinney

The Spinney is a specialist residential service for up to three adults with autism and learning disabilities. Through a person-centred approach, we are committed to providing a high quality service which focuses on the needs of the individual.

Located in the large suburban village of Bamber Bridge in Preston, we offer a safe and supportive environment where individuals can progress to lead a more independent and fulfilling life.

Our specialist staff team

Our service is run by an experienced manager with a team of trained support workers, who have significant expertise in supporting people with autism and learning disabilities. We believe in a multidisciplinary approach to care and support which is why we work closely with other professionals including social workers, psychiatrists, podiatrists and opticians.

Living at The Spinney

The Spinney provides a bespoke plan of activities for each person which includes organising day trips to places of interest, as well as holidays that are further afield. We support individuals to have a fulfilled and active life, encouraging dreams, goals and aspirations. We promote a broad and varied range of activities at the home and in the community that offer experiences on which special interests can be developed.

The Spinney is a three bedded detached house situated at the end of a secluded lane in Bamber Bridge. The accommodation consists of three individual bedrooms, one with en-suite facilities and an additional bathroom and toilet facilities.

The communal areas include a lounge, dining room and kitchen, as well as staff facilities, an office and a separate utilities area.

The property is a modern building with a well-maintained garden, which contains a summer house, and is specifically designed to provide a cosy and homely feel for those who live here. Situated in a quiet area, The Spinney provides a calm environment for everyone but still has easy access to the local community and excellent links to public transport and motorways.
