About Station Road
Station Road provides assessment and support for up to 12 adults living with learning disabilities, bipolar disorder or autism. Some also have communication difficulties or present behaviours that challenge, as well as a range of other disabilities such as epilepsy or Down’s syndrome.
Our approach to support:
Station Road promotes Craegmoor’s communication strategy called "Your Voice" which ensures that each individual, based on their preferred method of communication, is able to have a voice on how their support is provided. Monthly meetings are held where individuals are able to represent the views and voices of fellow individuals.
Station Road liaises with families, community organisations, social services departments and purchasing authorities to support Person Centred Care Planning and ensures full account is taken of social, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs of all individuals.
What it’s like to live here:
Our life skills coach organises a range of daily activities both in and out of the service that are planned in conjunction with the wishes of those who use our service. Individuals enjoy activities such as: swimming, horse riding, bowling, trips to cinema, outings to pubs, and shopping.
Also available on a local basis are college courses such as: music, art, communication, speech, cooking, relaxation, arts and crafts, dancing and gardening.
Our home is situated in a tranquil area of Winchmore Hill, and we benefit from easy access to the cosmopolitan local shops and amenities.
