About Seabreezes

Seabreezes supports up to six people with autism, learning disabilities and epilepsy. We support and encourage people living at Seabreezes to make choices about all aspects of their lives, from the support they receive to the design of their bedroom.

Our approach to support:

At Seabreezes, our dedicated staff team are here to support people 24 hours a day. People are able to express what level of support they require through their own Person Centred Plan. The plans are tailored to suit individual needs and enable all individuals to make their own choices about how they would like to be supported to achieve their targets, goals and future aspirations.

Seabreezes promotes Craegmoor's communication strategy, "Your Voice", which encourages individuals, based on their preferred method of communication, to voice their views about the care and support they receive. Monthly meetings are held where individuals are able to represent the views and voices of others living at Seabreezes.

What it’s like to live here:

People who live at Seabreezes have a weekly planner from which they can decide which activities they would like to do on a daily basis. The activities are varied and often change to reflect the choices of the person carrying out the activity.

Some individuals enjoy singing karaoke, arts and crafts sessions, playing bingo and cooking. Seabreezes is only five minutes away from the seaside and people often go for walks there and enjoy the scenery and sea air.

Some people enjoy cycling and using the computers. We also have a full sized pool table in our activity room, for individuals to have tournaments. People who live at Seabreezes are supported to exercise and to get involved with cooking and gardening.

Seabreezes benefits from a fantastic location. There is accessible public transport two minutes away from the service that enables people to access the bigger towns and railway stations. There, large department stores, restaurants, cinemas, bowling alleys and colleges can be accessed. Locally there are pubs, swimming pools, cafes and a day care centre.

“I like living at Seabreezes, I like living by the sea and I like the staff, they look after me." – Person supported by Seabreezes

At Seabreezes, everyone is encouraged and supported to personalise their own bedrooms; two of the bedrooms are en-suite and the remainder have a WC and wash basin. There are two communal bathrooms, a large kitchen-diner and a lounge-diner. There is also a day room which features a pool table.

The service has a large rear garden, which is perfect for having barbecues and relaxing. There are ramps at both the front and rear exits to enable easy access in the event people supported have a physical disability.
