About Hobbits Holt
Hobbits Holt provides 24-hour care for up to six people with learning disabilities aged 18 years and over. Each person we support has a personal care package, which reflects their own personal needs and independent living. Hobbits Holt works closely with the local community learning disability team that provides a high standard of information, support and advice.
Our approach to support:
We are committed to providing just enough support to empower and encourage individuals to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible.
We are supported by a quality assurance team whose aim is to empower individuals to take control of their lives and, where possible, work towards a level of independence which fits with their skills, confidence and aspirations.
Our overall aim is that individuals achieve their full potential in social and educational activities as well as day-to-day life.
What it’s like to live here:
To keep everyone physically active and stimulated, Hobbits Holt provides a varied activities programme, planned in consultation with those who use our service. These include a wide variety of college courses to choose from alongside swimming and horse riding sessions.
Day trips are also organised and include shopping, music festivals, local attractions and the seaside. We also offer evenings out to places such as bingo, bowling, snooker, discos, cinema and theatre. During the year the individuals have a holiday of their choice.
Hobbits Holt is situated in Ruspidge, which is one mile from Cinderford town. It has a local shop and pubs all within walking distance.
