Heighton House

About Heighton House

Based in Gloucester, Heighton House provides quality care based on respect for individuals, their right to make choices, maintain dignity and receive the best care to suit individual needs. The service offers accommodation for eight adults with learning disabilities.

Our approach to support:

The support at Heighton House is delivered by a dedicated and professional multi-disciplinary team committed to providing quality care. Our staff team ensure a supportive framework in which individuals can achieve their potential within a safe environment with dignity and respect.

The people we support can provide feedback and suggestions about the service they receive through regular meetings at Heighton House, as well as through Craegmoor’s “Your Voice” feedback initiative. Individuals are also encouraged to get involved in the planning of their care and support by means of a Person Centred Plan which is developed with a member of staff.

What it’s like to live here:

Heighton House is located in Gloucester, which means we have many local shops, amenities and leisure activities on our doorstep. Our activities co-ordinator strives to organise a wide range of daily activities both in and out of the service to keep everyone entertained and to introduce them to new situations.

People who we support at Heighton House can enjoy activities such as swimming, horse riding, bowling, cinema visits, outings to pubs and shopping. College courses are also available and include music, art, communication, speech, cooking, relaxation, arts and crafts, dancing and gardening.
