About Cotswold Lodge
Cotswold Lodge provides support for eight people with learning disabilities, with a diagnosis of Autism and behaviours that challenge. The service offers people the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of community based activities, which is an excellent place for making friends and having fun. The service does everything it can to improve the health, safety and wellbeing of the individuals that are supported and as a team are focused on building positive outcomes for the people living at Cotswold Lodge.
Our approach to support:
We encourage self expression and individuality, and enable people to live their lives in ways in which they choose.
All individuals are actively involved in designing and contributing to their own Person Centred Plan, with full staff support. The support plans are tailored to suit individual needs and provide the correct level of support required. They also enable all individuals to make their own choices about the support they receive. We encourage and support everyone at Cotswold Lodge to recognise and identify their goals and future aspirations and how they would like to be supported to achieve these.
What it’s like to live here:
At Cotswold Lodge we have access to a day service, five days a week. We can arrange courses through our local colleges in either Folkestone or Ashford. Everyone at Cotswold Lodge is encouraged to choose what they want to do on a daily basis.
There is also the opportunity to go to a disco each week, which provides everyone with an opportunity to have a dance and to socialise with their fellow peers.
Cotswold Lodge is situated along the sea front at Littlestone. The service is set back from a quiet road and each rooms boast either a sea view or a view over the local golf course.
There is a bus route around 400 yards away and people are encouraged to use public transport to access local towns of Folkestone and Ashford. These towns have good shopping facilities and recreational services, as well as many cafés and restaurants.
