About Coral House

Coral House is a specialised service for people with both learning and physical disabilities. Coral House is situated in Poole and is specially designed to support up to seven people with complex needs.

Our approach to support:

We are committed to providing just enough support to empower and encourage all individuals utilising our services to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible. By using Person Centred Plans, we help people to work towards a level of independence which fits with their skills, confidence and aspirations.

Individuals at Coral House are able to provide feedback and make suggestions about the care and support they receive through Craegmoor’s “Your Voice” feedback programme, as well as through regular meetings held within the home.

What it’s like to live here:

The people who currently live at Coral House like to help with meal planning, cooking, cleaning, activity planning, socialising and gardening on a regular basis. Some of the people we support go on work placements and particularly enjoy this independence.

We are well situated for all amenities with the local shops being located within easy walking distance.

“It’s good here, I like my friends, we do lots of different things and I get on with the staff.” – Person supported by Coral House

Facilities:

Coral House is comprised of two neighbouring bungalows which provide spacious accommodation for people we support. We encourage each individual to personalise their rooms to their own taste as well as to take an active role in the running of the home.

We also benefit from a good sized garden with summer house, and large patio which is ideal for summer barbecues and outside dining.

Admissions criteria:

Coral House may be suitable for people who meet the following admissions criteria:

  • Individuals with learning disabilities
  • Individuals with physical disabilities
