About Conquest Lodge

Conquest Lodge is a community resource providing assessment and support for up to 19 adults living with either a primary learning disability diagnosis and possible complex conditions, or complex mental health support needs.

Some individuals also have difficulty with communication or present behaviours that challenge, as well as a range of other conditions such as epilepsy or Down’s syndrome. Some of the individuals with mental health issues may self harm and have complex personality disorders, depression, bipolar disorder or other conditions that they need support with.

Our approach to support:

The service offers 24/7 specialist residential support and is committed to providing just enough support to empower and encourage individuals to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible and achieve positive outcomes for all.

We are supported by a quality assurance team whose aim is to empower people to take control of their lives, and where possible, work towards a level of independence which fits with their skills, confidence and aspirations.

What it’s like to live here:

People at Conquest Lodge have access to education and paid employment opportunities, day opportunities and full range of activities including hydrotherapy, scenic walking, life skills training, and other enjoyable trips out. Our own mini bus is used by people we support to access day activities and trips further afield. Individuals can also use local public transport links.

“I love living here, the staff are really friendly and helpful.” – Person supported by Conquest Lodge

Facilities:

We provide specialist support for four people with complex mental health needs in a well furnished, self-contained bungalow with its own separate entrance. We also offer specialist support for 15 people with primary learning disability diagnosis, with associated mental health needs if compatible.

Our self-contained bungalows have adapted kitchens and large accessible baths with features including an electric bath chair, hot tub, lights and music for sensory activity and shower option. Outside we have a private garden with a barbecue area which is popular during the summer months.
