About Conquest House
Located in the Farcet area of Peterborough, Conquest House is able to provide support to adults with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and behaviour that may challenge. Our experienced team is passionate about helping individuals to lead lives that are as independent as possible.
Our approach to support:
The support at Conquest House is delivered by a dedicated and professional multi-disciplinary team committed to providing quality care focused on the needs of the individual. We believe in a personalised approach and everyone living at Conquest House has their own Person Centred Plan which is reviewed regularly.
Our aim is to provide the highest quality support enabling individuals to build on skills, live more independently, and reach their goals.
We also believe that individual choice is paramount and each person we support is actively encouraged to make informed choices and maintain independence. A key worker is assigned to each person ensuring a holistic approach to individual care. We encourage individuals and families to actively participate in the planning of support, which is facilitated through individual/relatives meeting where information is provided.
Conquest House work closely with local services such as the community learning disability team, community nurses, psychologists, speech therapists, local health centres, dental, chiropody and other health care services.
What it’s like to live here:
Our activities co-ordinator organises a wide range of daily activities both in and out of the service which are planned in conjunction with the wishes of the people living here. These include: swimming, horse riding, bowling, trips to cinema, outings to pubs, and shopping.
College courses are available and include: music, art, communication, speech, cooking, relaxation, arts and crafts, dancing or gardening.
Our own transport is used for visits to local places of interest and to go out to local day services and resource centres.
Conquest House is situated in Farcet, Peterborough with easy access to local shops and amenities. There are also local transport networks such as bus and train services to help individuals to travel within the area and further afield.
