About Church View

Church View supports adults with enduring mental health problems. We have three units called York, Canterbury and the Vicarage - which used to be the Vicarage of the local church.

Our approach to support:

At Church View, we use Person Centred Care Plans to ensure that individuals receive the correct level of care and support when using our service. Individuals are encouraged to contribute to their plans, as well as expressing what their goals and aspirations are and the steps that are needed to achieve them.

What it’s like to live here:

Many people have their own network of friends outside of Church View and go out to see them as they wish.

People who stay here enjoy lots of different activities including bike riding, visiting farms and museums, local outings to the cinema, swimming, bowling, eating out, fishing trips and shopping.

An external arts and crafts group visits each week and there are lots of other activities at Church View including baking, bingo, quizzes, darts, dominoes and board games.

Church View is ideally situated as it is close to Rotherham town centre and has regular buses running nearby and is also close to the Meadowhall shopping centre.

We have large grounds which some individuals help to maintain; they are lovely to sit in when the weather is good. There are large landscaped areas with benches to sit and relax and a patio area with a calming water feature. We have barbecues in our grounds in the summer, as well as open days and fairs.
