Bowden House

Bowden House is a residential placement for males and females requiring specialist support for their mental health needs (including personality disorders). The service will accommodate a maximum of 11 adults from the age of 16 upwards.

Our approach to support:

By encouraging people to take control and have belief in their potential, we can make positive outcomes a reality for everyone, regardless of age or presumed ability. We create pathways that support individuals through residential to community living, delivering measurable results for both local authorities and the people we support. This, paired with our personalisation agenda, enables us to help the people we support to lead fulfilled, independent lives. By working together, we can make a real difference.

Finding the right care and support doesn't have to be complicated. At Craegmoor we can offer advice about accessing benefits and funding and if appropriate, working out your budget. If you have an Individual Budget or Direct Payment we can support you to decide how best to spend your finances to make sure you can live the life you want.

What it’s like to live here:

Bowden House organises day trips to places of interest, as well as holidays that are further afield. People are invited to suggest ideas for these trips at our regular meetings, which also provide individuals with the chance to provide feedback about their support.

There is a variety of on-site activities for people to choose to take part in, such as – cooking & baking, barbecues and discos, as well as playing pool on our own pool table.

Situated on Prince of Wales Road, Sheffield there is easy access to the city by public transport and all of the facilities available in Sheffield and surrounding areas.

Bowden House has 11 bedrooms with en-suite facilities, consisting of 5 rooms on the ground floor and 6 on the first floor, which are accessible via our lift.

Our property is modern, and is specially designed to provide a cosy and homely feel for those who live here. Each room is fully furnished, including a television, and can easily be personalised at an individual's request.

The communal areas include a lounge, dining room and kitchen, which has low-level worktops fitted to enable wheelchair users better access to the facilities. There is also a pool table in the house and an outdoor seating area for people to enjoy.

Bowden House may be suitable for those who meet the following admissions criteria:
