About Birches Grove

Birches Grove provides quality support based on respect for those who use our service, their right to make choices, maintain dignity and receive the best of care to suit individual needs. We offer a homely accommodation for four adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Our approach to support:

We offer a warm and homely environment with opportunities for individuals to extend and enhance the quality of their day to day living. People have varying levels of learning disabilities and are all supported by experienced staff, ensuring their physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs are met.

Everyone has an individual care package, specifically planned to reflect their personal needs and preferences. Choice is paramount and individuals are actively encouraged to make informed decisions and maintain independence.

What it’s like to live here:

Our Activities Co-ordinator organises a wide range of daily activities both in and out of the service, which are planned in conjunction with those who use our service. They enjoy activities such as swimming, bowling, day services, outings to pubs and shopping. We also arrange holidays in the UK or abroad.

College courses are available and include music, art, communication, speech, cooking, relaxation, dancing, gardening and arts and crafts.

Birches Grove is situated in picturesque part of the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire with easy access to local shops and amenities.

“Since moving into Birches Grove, I have gained far more independence and enjoy living in a smaller home.” – Person supported by Birches Grove
