About Belmont Road
The 24/7 specialist residential support unit Belmont Road assists people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and individuals with epilepsy, tuberous sclerosis, cerebral palsy, along with individuals who are deaf or who have visual impairments.
We do everything we can to improve the health and wellbeing of the people we support, and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone.
Our approach to support:
At Belmont Road, we follow the Craegmoor vision of helping individuals to live as independently as possible, whilst providing just the right level of support. Our service offers a safe and caring environment where individuals can achieve goals and aspirations set out in their Person Centred Plan.
Each person we support at Belmont Road is encouraged to take an active interest in their care plan to ensure their needs are met and so staff can offer the right amount of support where necessary. At Belmont Road we can provide one-to-one psychological support where needed, as well as enabling individuals to access the skills and expertise of our multidisciplinary staff team.
Our staff are highly trained to support people with epilepsy, tuberous sclerosis and cerebral palsy, as well as individuals who are deaf or who have visual impairments.
Individuals living at Belmont Road are able to have their views heard through Craegmoor’s “Your Voice” initiative as well as contributing suggestions and feedback through regular meetings on-site.
What it’s like to live here:
The people that we support are encouraged through their Person Centred Plans to achieve their goals and aspirations. For some people this means attending college to access various courses, including cooking, art and daily living skills. For others it means work placements and other day opportunities in line with their goals. We also have on-site activities including music, pottery, cookery and reflexology sessions.
Belmont Road is situated in the small market town of March, which is located in the Fenlands of Cambridgeshire. It is within easy travelling distance of Ely, Peterborough and King's Lynn.
There are several shops in the town centre of March, as well as a local pool. The rail station allows individuals to travel further afield, as well as providing easy access for friends and family to come and visit.
“I like living at Belmont Road as I can go to Tennyson Lodge to see my friends.” – Person supported by Belmont Road
