About Ashridge

At Ashridge we do everything we can to improve the health and wellbeing of the people we support, including those with learning disabilities. As a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone that uses our services.

Our dedicated support team provide 24 hour assistance. Each member of the team is committed to delivering the highest standard of personal care, ensuring that everyone at Ashridge receives the support and attention they deserve.

Our approach to support:

Ashridge is comprised of the main house, which supports twelve people, and a separate bungalow that provides support for six people.

Each person is involved in designing their own Person Centred Plan, with staff support. The plans are tailored to suit individual needs and outline the correct level of support required.

They also enable people to make their own choices about the support they receive. We encourage and support everyone at Ashridge to recognise and identify their goals and ambitions and how they would like to go about meeting them.

The team works closely with outside professionals including social services, physiotherapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists and psychologists. There is also good access to local GPs and dentists.

What it’s like to live here:

There is a wide range of activities to get involved with at Ashridge, both in and out of the service. With staff support, everyone living here chooses and plans which activities they would like to do. Our activities co-ordinator often arranges events such as ten-pin bowling, swimming and trips to local cafes and restaurants.

Ashridge is committed to encouraging choice and self-fulfilment. Some people choose to complete college courses with assistance from visiting tutors and others access our own day services. There are regular meetings and we encourage family, carers and friends to visit regularly. We will always listen and positively respond to any suggestions.

Ashridge is located in the heart of its own extensive grounds of about half an acre. It is half an hour's drive from Skegness, which for many of the people living here is a very popular location to visit.

“Ashridge has helped with my independence and my confidence in all areas of my life.” – Person supported by Ashridge

All bedrooms at Ashridge have washing facilities and there are six bath / shower rooms.

Both of our living areas have large lounges and kitchens, while the large gardens offer a place for individuals to relax as well as providing an area to grow their own vegetables.
