Craegmoor Colleges

"Enabling young people to develop the confidence and skills they need for the next stage in their lives."

Craegmoor has three specialist colleges for young people aged 16-25 with learning difficulties or disabilities, challenging behaviour and complex needs including autism/ASC. They offer full and part-time, 38 or 52 week placements on a residential or day basis, with courses starting throughout the year.

Courses focus on developing independent living, social and vocational skills. Each learner has their own individual learning programme based on their specific needs and aspirations. Most learning takes place in real life settings rather than formal lessons, giving everyone opportunities to achieve nationally recognised qualifications, participate in work experience and enjoy community activities.

Every learner receives the appropriate support they need to develop and achieve their goals. This includes one to one and specialist support through a multidisciplinary team of community nurses, speech and language therapists, psychologists and advocates, where required.
