Nursing and Residential Care

Craegmoor offers nursing and residential care for older people over the age of 65 years who have age related illnesses such as dementia and physical difficulties. In our homes across the UK, we provide tailor made care packages to meet the needs of the individual.

Putting People First

Craegmoor is committed to significantly modernising attitudes towards older people and shaping contemporary approaches to their care and support.

We aim to ensure that older people are treated as individuals and work to provide appropriate and comprehensive packages tailored to meet their specific needs.

We strive to:

  • Listen to older people
  • Respect dignity and privacy
  • Embrace individual differences and needs
  • Recognise cultural and religious differences
  • Enable older people and their families to make informed choices
  • Involve and support carers and families wherever possible

Assuring Good Quality Services

At Craegmoor we are continuously improving our care and support through a unique Quality Assurance Programme. This framework provides a consistent and high level of service in all our homes, whilst also ensuring our policies and procedures are used to safeguard the people we support.

Assisting Individuals to Make Choices

We are committed to enabling older people to make choices about the services and care they receive. We positively encourage regular interaction between residents and local community services by creating and maintaining lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those they enjoyed in their previous home. This includes contact with friends and former neighbours and involvement with local groups. Professional services such as dental, chiropody, physiotherapy and other services are provided from the local area.

Our homes have been thoughtfully laid out and designed to suit the many and differing needs of the people who live there. We encourage participation from families and friends through regular visits and involvement in special days and other events and activities. This is complemented with an extensive range of activities which individuals can choose to become involved in. Long standing hobbies or interests, such as arts and crafts, are continued and new ones, for instance, relaxation therapies, are developed with the help and support of our staff.
