As CEO Ted has full accountability for the performance of the Craegmoor Healthcare Group and has held this post since 2005, having joined the company as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2004.

Since 2005, Ted has driven the turnaround in Craegmoor’s fortunes, overseeing the appointment of an entirely new Board and driving the development of strategic and operating plans reflecting the opportunities open to the company.

Ted is proud to have seen Craegmoor start to rebuild its external reputation and to have achieved, together with the other Craegmoor Board Members, measurable improvements of care standards and financial performance, and successful refinancings in both 2005 and 2007.

As COO of the company, Ted worked to stabilise the business following a period of significant change, introducing a professional Clinical Governance framework and HR platform.

Ted began his career as a pharmacist in the retail sector before becoming a Regional Manager of the national chain, Boots. Ted remains a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and spent three years on its Council. Ted has also served as Stores Director both for WH Smith, where he was also MD of the Central Region, and Iceland Foods plc.

Ted is a Board Member and Honorary Treasurer of the English Community Care Association.

Charles is a Graduate of Birmingham University and a qualified chartered accountant having trained with Arthur Andersen. He has over twenty two years experience of being a Group Finance Director in multi-location businesses including having floated a business backed by Midland Montagu Ventures on the Unlisted Securities Market (as was), and time with Evans Halshaw Plc (listed on the London Stock Exchange) where as Group Finance Director in 1994 he oversaw a successful acquisition of a Public Company financed by a rights issue. Subsequent to this, Charles was targeted to become Group Finance Director of Dutton Forshaw where he turned around a key division of the business ultimately leading to a successful exit for owners CVC who sold the Group to Lloyds TSB.

Charles has significant experience of mergers & acquisitions and his previous appointments include assignments from Venture Capital Groups such as Hermes Private Equity. Charles was appointed as Chief Finance Officer of Craegmoor Healthcare in March 2006 and has been instrumental both in turning around the company’s Finance Function and the company’s subsequent successful refinancing.
